A question about abu bakr (la)

Abu bakr (la) was called abu bakr (la) for being the father (Abu) of Bakr (la) (his eldest son).
He was also known as Ibne Abi Quhafa (la) (the son of the father quhafa), that's also not his real name 'Quhafa' was the eldest brother of Abu Bakr (la). Ibne Abi Quhafa mean Ibe (son of) Abi (father) Quhafa (the elder brother of Abu Bakr (la)).

Abu Bakr (la) had a number of other children, the one's we know of are

a] Muhammad bin Abu Bakr (Momin) - Who was named as like a son by Imam Ali (as)

b] Asma binte abu bakr (Momina)

c] Umme Kulthum binte Abu bakr (Momina) Imam Hassan (as) read her Janazah in 49 hijri

d] Ayesha binte abu bakr


So my 3 questions are...

1) What was abu bakr's (la) real name?

2) Who is bakr, the son of Abu Bakr (la), any historical evidence of this son of Abu Bakr (la)?

3) So how many children did Abu Bakr have?

Abu Bakr's son is called Muhammad. He was adopted by Imam Ali (as)... and was killed by Muawiya (LA)... Muawiya made Muhammad bin Abu Bakr thirsty, but before he died of thirst, Muawiya killed him. The reason for his death was because of his love for Ahl Muhammad.

Oh and by the way, Abu Bakr's father was called Uthman Abu Qahafa, thats why they say he is the son of Abu Qahafa

His full name is:
Abd Allah ibn 'Uthman ibn Amir ibn Amru ibn Ka'ab ibn Sa'ad ibn Taim ibn Murrah ibn Ka'ab ibn Lu'ai ibn Ghalib ibn Fihr al-Quraishi at-Taimi

His real name is Abd Allah.

Abu Bakr (LA) had:

1 daughter & 1 son from Qutaylah. His daughters name was Asma, and his son's name was Abd Allah

1 son & daughter from Um Ruman. His son was Abdarrahman, daughter was Aisha. From this wife, he also had a step son called Tufail, the son of Abdullah bin Harith.

1 son from Asthma bin Umays. That was Muhammad, who Imam Ali (as) adopted.

1 daughter from Habibah bint Kharijah. Her name was Umm Khultum

Just to expand a little on that.

Abu Bakr (la) was named Abdul Kaaba before he became muslim and after his apparent acceptance of islam he was named as abdullah.
He was also known as Ateeq, and later assumed the name abu bakr.

His fathers name was uthman abu qahafa and mothers name salma binte shakhr.

He had 3 brothers, Mu'taq, Utaiq and Quhafa. Not much is known about them and neither is it known if they accepted islam.

He had a number of wifes

Firstly Qutayla binte abdul uzza whome he divorced.
Asma binte abi bakr was from this wife and she had 2 sons: Abdullah and Urwa ibne zubair both brothers.

Secondly Um Ruman binte amir from whom he begat 1 son abdar rahman and one daughter Aisha (la).

Thirdly Asma binte Umays From whom was Muhammad ibne Abi bakr.

Fourthly Habiba binte kharija from whom he had um e kulsum binte abi bakr.

Those who claim to be descendents of this false siddique are known as siddiqui in arabia and asia. They are knows as Qallu in east ethiopia and sheekhaal in ethiopia.
In bangladesh, his descendants call themselves quraishi...whether they are also the quraishis of india and pakistan is not clear.

oh just to clarify, it seems as if he didnt ever have a son called bakr and probably used it to hide his pagan name of abdul kaaba (worshipper of the kaaba).

Great posts, just want to add to brother Rational Mind's comment. Just somthing to ponder over, according to Dua Sanamain Quraish (literally the "Supplication of the two idols of Quraish") Mola Ali (as) refered to them as Lat, al-Uzza, in other words one is Umar and the other Bakar. This is another Kunya of Abu Bakar
