Re: Ameen
Amin/Ameen is a name/title denoting someone as trustworthy, truthful and reliable.
Ie Sadiq ul ameen meaning truthful and trustworthy.
As for the sunni's reading it in namaz after sura al fateha....there is no discernable reason as to why they do it, neither is there any proof from religious texts that it should be done. It is a biddah which invalidates prayers.

Re: Ameen
i dont think so. the egyptian sun god was Ra or later Horato.
Amin lexically and phentically has no links to that.
Amin is from the arabic lexicon and has been a common used term in arabic and the quran with that meaning.

Re: Ameen

They do after sura e fateha in the first rakat and it is repeating the first ayat of the sura after the person leading the prayers has said it. It is not sayin ameen.
Re: Ameen
The Shaykh, Allah have mercy on him, informed me from Abu 'l-Qasim Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Ya`qub from `Ali b. Ibrahim from his father from `Abdullah b. Mughira from Jamil b. Durraj from Abu `Abdillah . He said: When you are behind an imam and he has recited al-Hamd, and finished its recitation, then you say "al-hamdu lillahi rabbi 'l-`alimeen", and do not say "ameen."
I hope that helps

ok now that was just too darn funny, for real silat warrior, you start out saying you should watch out for anyone who says this then you go and find the hadith (off another site same discussion) and provide us proof it should/ could be said....
so what? are we supposed to 'watch out' for anyone who follows hadith e aimmah asws?
lol, you kill me

What I posted?
No where did I say you should recite ameen,
This has not been taken from no discussion, it has been taken from Tashayu.org. We sould watch out for practices which are not part of neither Usooli or the Akhbari school. Unless you have your own school and you consider your self superior to the scholars who have preserved the informtion of the Shia school which has reached us today.

Re: Ameen
I am not concerned with sistanis website, as for a start this is a website and not a discussion room. As I said before this was taken from Tasahyyu.org and I posted a hadith as shown above. The Aima (as) have instructed us not to read ameen, If anyone chooses to follow the sunnies with there custom then good luck with them.
