Why do Muslims go around the Kabbah?
As we have learned, the Native American, New Ager, Wiccan, Christian, Kabbalist, Messianic and Muslim all preform a type of circumambulation. The Circle movement happens to be the most popular and these groups choose to worship their deity/deities. Why is this custom exist and where did the muslims take it from?

Hazrat Ibrahim (as).
Before Hz Ibrahim (as), all the other Prophets of islam circumambulated around the kaaba.
But the Hajj we have and its conditions come directly to us from Hz Ibrahim (as) via the Prophet (saww).

1st, Allah says do it
2nd when kaba was built, it was built and rebuilt by circulating it by the prophet (as) allah liked this and from there on, people were to do this
3rd to bear witness that the first imam (saw) (by looking at the crack on circulating it) appeared from here.
7 times around the kaba i have heard it is an important number, 7 days of the week, 7 asmaans. but its not clear to me why 7.

its also written in bihar ul anwar vol I (chapter: adam and huwwa) that when allah (swt) informed the angels that he was about to place a caliph on the earth, and they answered that he would spread murder etc while they would just praise allah, in repentance for questioning allah, they circled the bayt al mamur in order to gain allahs forgiveness, and us circling the ka'aba is based upon that.
